They have one of the longest Tea Ceremony session i have ever photographed..

Ok! maybe not as long as the one i documented in Ipoh a few years back.. where almost the whole village was there... :P Still Gavin & Ashley's Tea Ceremony was still pretty long by Singapore standard... :)

The Ricoh GRDIV...

I've been thinking of getting a "serious compact" camera for awhile now...

and as a DSLR user of both Canon 5d MK1 & MK2, i am used to getting excellent quality pictures.... So when it come to a compact camera there is no exception... it has to at least match the capability of a DSLR...

I have been doing a fair bit of traveling and will be traveling even more in the coming months... Having a DSLR is definitely useful... but the weight and bulkiness just turn me off (it's just reminds me of work) :P... so i decided to get a smaller camera...

Leica is way out of the question with its astronomical price tag... So the next best thing is the Ricoh flagship camera, GRD4... With a fast 28mm len of f1.9... the GRD4 is able to handle situation that even a DSLR may find it challenging.. n yes... it may not have the dynamic range of the bigger sensor camera... but image quality this compact produced is rather pleasing..

Of course there are better camera out there... but i am happy with the Ricoh GR Digital4...

at least for now!! :)

Gavin & Ashley Wedding Xpresshighlight...

It had been a long & exhausting day... having to churn out the Xpresshighlight within that few hours is never easy... n having it done just in time to get to the hotel... there was really no time for a break... As stressful as it may be... it is rewarding to know that your work is much appreciated and well received by the couple and audiences.. :) It is also a pleasure working with Gavin & Ashley... a motivating factor to push myself further to the limit... :)

However, it is not all smooth sailing though... i was rather disappointed that the person controlling the laptop during the screening of the Xpresshighlight decided to skip the opening page and end credit of the video... It is not the lost of advertising opportunity that i am upset with but rather the due credit an artist deserved for the every effort he had put in to create that very masterpiece... So a lesson learned.. from the "School of Hardknock"... always give clear instruction to have it play from beginning to the end...

Nevertheless, I am glad that we were able to meet the couple expectation... n like i always said, working with such lovely people just make your job so much more enjoyable... :)

Daniel & Sharon...

Today is such a great day to clear the backlog of wedding images... nice and cooling weather.. need to keep the momentum going for the hectic months ahead!! :)

I have just done up the highlights from Daniel & Sharon Wedding... They are such a wonderful couple who are so easy going... we hit it off pretty well during our first meet up... and it is really nice to see them finally tying the knot...

We shall now let the pictures unfold the story of their wedding day... :)

Samuel & Hazel...

No amount of efforts was spared in this wedding... The bride, Hazel attention to details are highly commendable... like the designing of her gatecrashing "Hazeypedia" and even the Angbao box was handmade into a luggage bag to match the theme of the wedding dinner... Samuel & his band of brothers also spare no chance by arriving in a "hot pink" tee with bermudas, a cute blend of attires matching with the bridesmaids... a truly fun and lively wedding day to document... :)
