Ok... i am mentally "blocked"... not being good with words at all... think i am better off taking photograph.... since picture speaks a thousand words... here you go...

anyway... with this little boy around... they don't really need me.. :P FYI... think he took almost all the 30 tables with his handy compact camera... or is it a handphone??

James & Roshan... Melbourne Rejoiced!!

When i first received an email from Roshan enquiring about my AD packages... never would i thought that we could go so "far"... we met up at Burger King... i presented her my portfolio... n after a few corresponding mail... my bag was packed n with my trusty camera... i flew to melbourne...

In Melbourne... i tasted one of the best cuisine a wedding could offer... witnessed 2 people so in love with one another...

So here you go... an experience through my lens...

Martin & Sharon... Sneak Preview!!

There are so much work to be done... clearing backlogs (its seriously piling up)... i am drowning with images to edit... even blogging would requires a certain effort & time... Finally i was able to squeeze out a little bit of that for this long awaited sneak preview... :P n its specially for Martin & Sharon... who, technically, engaged me more than 1 year in advance... :) i recalled more than a year ago when i delivered their solemnization album... they also requested to view my AD portfolio... that album delivery cum meet-up session was done in Martin car.. (yes, i have pretty good memory) :) ....

Witnessing their solemnization and finally tying the knot a year later.. is definitely an honor for me... Its a long term relationship that any wedding photographer would like to build with their client... n this is only the beginning of the end.... :)

He forgot abt the oranges... so in true little.RED.dot spirit... "who cares"... as long as everyone is happy... :P

Its definitely good to have a 2nd photographer... u can really have all angle covered.. n most importantly... NO table/formal shoot for me... :P

Ok... this is one of my personal fav... it's one shot worth dying for... A father overwhelmed with emotion during the couple speech... from where i was standing (which is pretty far)... i could see tears flowing... it is shot like this that truly reflects why i am in this business... preserving untold, minute details.. which meant a lot to the couple...

Please appreciate the above image... its really tough getting shot like this... people usually don't stand still/stay in place for long... :P

A Deep Down Under... Teaser!

Documented a traditional Teochew wedding yesterday.... i was dead tired by the end of the day... it started from 5am (which meant i need to wake up by 330am).... since there will be a longer gap after the morning session... a well deserved nap before the dinner reception... is inevitable... :P

Another good thing abt yesterday wedding... no "table to table" photos for me... :) i just love it when i have the freedom to do what i like... they also had a videographer... nice chap... but he is pretty into posing and directing... its really weird when things are repeated twice n when he asked me to do formal photos... i hv no idea why... perhaps it is for his shot... nevertheless its an eye opener working with people of different style and approach... :)

Met Andre (who is also the groomsmen) and Apple... my "balloons" couple... :) n its through Ken and Pearly that i got to know them... it is really nice to know couple who actively refer you to their friends... :) n this time round... i am honored to have witness their very own matrimony...

As always... for my lovely couple and all the beautiful people i met in the wedding... here is a little teaser to tickle you for more... :P

A little Observation.... A little Note!

There was once... a client asked me if i could joke around while i am on assignment... reason being.. he have seen one of the photographer at his friend's wedding going around entertaining ppl... making everyone laugh... i pondered... geez... i am a photographer... not a clown... those photos you seen in my portfolio... are pretty journalistic... i dont really tell them some dirty joke before i snap those shot.. :P if you are in this business long enough... there are some pretty strange request.. :)

I kindly explained the situation to that client... if you know me long enough.... i am really a quiet person... i would prefer to take a non directive approach... "observation" is the key to my work...

a little observance does go a long way....

Here is an image (from another wedding) of a little note that i found in the corner of the room... anyone could have just miss it... a little sweet note from the groom to his pretty bride-to-be...

btw.... i managed to convince that client... what he need is a photographer not a joker... :P that was really quite sometime ago... n yes i was their wedding photographer... :)

Chat it Out.. Void Deck Style!!

I dont usually meet clients on a weekday night... not mentioning meeting client at my void deck... i know... very unglam.. :)

Nevertheless, met up with Darrell (one of the bros @ Ritchie & Hui Wei wedding)... what supposed to be a agreement signing session... turned to a camera testing aka poisoning session... hey what do you expect when 2 guys got together with the best gadget(5d MkII) in town.. :P Met him at 8pm... we only left the void deck at abt 1020pm... ok maybe 15min was spent going thru the agreement... the rest is really on camera... shooting technique... n business plan!!.. :) Hv not really sat down and hv a long chat with another like minded person for a long time... Like Botak Jone said... Damn Shiok!! :P

Ok... this will be one wedding that i will look forward to shoot nxt year... :)

James & Clare... Sneak Preview..

Have been really busy recently... shooting almost very weekend... and having to edit photos over the weekday... it really getting a toll on me... there is also the admin side... putting up agreement, replying email, filing of receipts/invoices, updating/maintaining my blog and fixing my time schedule for meet up... not easy... having to accommodate not only to my schedule but also to my clients availability.. I guess being a photographer... it's not just about shooting and editing... maybe when i earn enough i could get someone to do all these for me... *fat hope* ya i know... :P

It's not all chore though.... there is always a great sense of satisfaction when i go thru the images... when i delivered the end-product to my lovely couples... the smiles on their face when they go thru the album... n of cuz... not mentioning when i receive the pay-check.. :P

Finally... i'm done with their album.... i'm progressing but there is still so much work to be done.... *sweat*

A Fusion & Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon :)

I mentioned previously that Indian ceremony is always so vibrant and vivid.... so imagine a ceremony with fusion of both indian and church rituals... it cant be any more interesting... :)

Documented the wedding of M & A yesterday.... A beautiful ceremony without the gatecrashing ... simple and cosy yet filled with so much fun and laughter shared among their family and friends.. definitely a " that's great" wedding (the bride will know) :P... So in order to keep it that way... both of them have requested to be anonymous.... n not post any images of them... hmm... not a problem at all.... :P here a little teaser... perhaps the only image.. that i gonna post from this lovely couple wedding... :)

It is also a pleasure to work with the guys from Simplemotion... Samuel n George... n here a photo of both of them... i'm totally impressed with their equipment (Ya.. i'm gonna buy the video light)... :P

This image of sam reminds me of the phrase "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon"... both practicing their own craft... n they are pretty good at it... :)
